Milana
Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub of the United States is an actress as well as a comedian and activist. Born in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents, she began her career as a child actress just after emigrating to United States. In AT&T commercials on television, she played the role of Lily Adams (saleswoman) from 2013 through 2016 and until 2020. She was a regular host on Yahoo! Screen science fiction comedy Other Space (2015). Additionally, she was a regular on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016–2017). Vayntrub, who was originally cast as the character Squirrel Girls in Marvel Rising's pilot that was never aired for New Warriors in 2018, has voiced the character since. Vayntrub was Jewish and was born in Tashkent in the Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic. Her parents, who were both at the age of two, came to America to escape antisemitism. They were settled in West Hollywood. The financial struggles of her family caused her to be a part of Mattel Barbie commercials from the age of 5. Vayntrub briefly was a student at Beverly Hills High School, but she dropped out of the school in her sophomore year. She earned an GED and went to complete an Associate of Arts in Communication at the University of California, San Diego. As part of the Upright Citizens Brigade she studied improv comedy.
