Anna Silk is a Fredericton native and the child of Peter Silk, who was an academic. Her mother, Ilkay Silk, had numerous talents, including being able perform, direct production, create plays as well as teach and serve as director of drama at St. Thomas University. Anna Silk was born to a British father and an English-Turkish Cypriot mother. As a young girl, she appeared in commercials of various kinds. Anna moved in Toronto in order to help her acting grow. In the following years, she relocated Los Angeles. Seth Cooperman was introduced to Anna in Los Angeles at an acting training workshop held in 2007. They got engaged in 2009. Anna was a convert to Judaism at the time and Seth Cooperman got married in December of 2010 in Fredericton. The couple got married in April 2011, they renewed their wedding vows by having a Jewish ceremony.
