Whitney Houston and Dana Bash
Whitney Elizabeth Houston is a performer who was born in Newark, New Jersey on 9th August 1963. Their parents include gospel superstars Cissy Houston(n e Emily Lee Drinkard), and John Russell Houston Jr. Whitney's cousin Dionne Warwick sings as well. As a child, she sang in her New Hope Baptist Church Choir in Newark. When she turned 15, Houston had sung professionally backing vocals with her mother for Chaka Khan's hit song in 1978 Im Every Woman. She then went on to sing backing vocals with Lou Rawls and Jermaine and even her mother. Her first gig was as a lead vocalist with the New York-based funk band Material in the year 1981. It was this excellence of her singing in the band that caught the attention of major record labels including Arista which she signed with in 1983. This is where she stayed for the rest of her professional career. Whitney Houston, her debut album released in 1985, was the most-sold album by the debut artist. Several hit singles including the hit songs Saving All My Love For You How Can I Tell You If It's Good to Love You and The Most Beautiful Love of All were released from the album, setting her up for a Beatles-beating seven consecutive US numbers one. The album was released in 1987 and has sold more than 25 million copies worldwide. The Whitney sequel in 1987, featuring the singles What Do Broken Hearts GO and I Wanna Dance With Somebody helped to build on the success of her first album. But it was the 1992 film The Bodyguard that solidified her standing as one of the most popular performers. While her movie performance as well as its soundtrack weren't popular but her Dolly Parton cover I Will Always Love You and The Bodyguard album that accompanied it topped charts across the world for several months. That same year she married former New Edition star Bobby Brown with whom she had her only child their child Bobbi Kristina Brown. She was born in the month of March 1993. About this time her well-documented drug use started and in 1996, she used to use drugs every day.
Dana Bash is also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz and she has a job at CNN as a reporter, anchorwoman and political reporter. She also produces several of the network's Saturday shows such for instance Evans & Novak' Late Edition as well as Inside Politics.' She has worked for other renowned channels before, including NBC and CBS. In terms of awards and honors Bash was once placed in Women in Washington Power List in Elle magazine.
