Ayanna pressley is an individual with multiple talents. She is an activist, advocate, and expert in the field of policy. Ayanna became the first black woman to be elected to Congress for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts when she was elected seventh Congressional District Representative on Nov. 6, 2018. Ayanna believes that the people closest to the pain should be closest to the power and believes that having a variety of voices in the political process is essential to crafting more effective policies for the public.
